The truest of wines
We do not want to paint the story of the ARTE VINI brand in pink. After all, there is truth in wine itself - and the truth always comes out. Therefore, do not expect stories about the mysterious family recipe and the family winery passed down through the generations.
We produce wines with a modern style. We do not hesitate to use top-notch technology to get the best possible result from our perfect grapes. We follow the path of the best Moravian winemaking traditions and we deeply respect the terroir of all our vineyard sites in Velké Pavlovice and Znojmo regions.
Our winemaker René J. Vrátil is a well-known personality within the small circle of Czech winemakers. René above all crafts all our wines on the basis of „art of winemaking". This is also why we do not compete on price, but we offer only such wines where we can stand behind their quality from grape cultivation to the final taste taste in your glass.
All our vineyards are farmed in sustainable manner and continuously maintain them in an ecological balance.
In the cellar, we use exclusively traditional and natural production methods. Thanks to this, delicate aromas and flavours stand out in our wines maintaining the utmost quality that only carefully harvested and thoroughly sorted out grapes can offer.
The vineyards in Znojmo region are influenced by continental climate with large differences between day and night temperatures. The subsoil consists mostly of sandstone and loess. These local conditions create the typical character of Znojmo wines - fresh and fruity notes, which are complemented by a pleasant and elegant minerality.
When it comes to the grape varieties, we mainly focus on traditional ones such as Grüner Veltliner, Rhine Riesling and Zweigelt. We also see great potential in the Moravian Pálava variety – crossing of Müller Thurgau and Gewurztraminer.
But you will also find wines from the international varieties Chardonnay and Sauvignon, because thanks to the local climate and excellent soil conditions, these varieties offer unique wines with typical regional Znojmo character. We source out our grapes from renowned locations in the Znojmo region. The vineyards are managed following to our advice - in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way, in order to achieve a great diversity of vineyard fauna and flora.
Znojmo is a promised land to top-quality wine. The grapes for our wines come from various vineyard sites around the city - such as Olbramovice, Vrbovce, Dolní Kounice or Dyjákovice. You would find the roots of our exceptional Rhine Riesling on the slopes of Načeratický kopec, while the grapes for our Sauvignon grow on Kraví hora.
At the same time, we concentrate on the production of dry white wines from typical Znojmo varieties. Thanks to this, we can offer you first-class Grüner Veltliner, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon or Chardonnay.
We are one of the founding members of the Šaldorfské sklepy association and have been participating in the activities of the VOC Znojmo association since 2013. The iconic vineyard called Kraví hora is located just above our cellar.
Our 140-year-old cellar is located south of Znojmo in the village of Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice. The historic, vaulted cellar excavated in the sandstone massif creates ideal conditions both for the processing of grapes and especially for the subsequent aging of our wines. Thanks to the depth of several meters below the surface, the cellar maintains a constant temperature and high humidity throughout the year, which enables the perfect gradual aging of our wines, both in stainless steel tanks and in barrique barrels made of French oak.
In the press room, directly under the old wooden press from the 19th century, we have opened a cozy wine bar, where you can enjoy both local cold delicacies and, if necessary, have a warm treat prepared to order.

We love the region of Velké Pavlovice. That is why in 2019 we enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to acquire our own vineyards in this are. We currently take care of more than 22 hectares of vineyards in the sites called Bojanovska, Išperky, Lizniperky, Staré hory, Okolesy, Nové hory and Zbavce.
Our wines acquire a fantastic and unmistakable character thanks to the local sloping hills with subsoil rich of of calcium and magnesium. These hills also provide perfect exposure to sunlight. The white and red Burgundy varieties of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir reach optimal maturity here. In addition to these, the local terroir offers excellent conditions for the cultivation of traditional local and international red varieties Frankovka, Svatovavřinecké and Merlot.
We are proud members of the VOC Modré hory association, which is the first in the Czech Republic to allow only red grape varieties in the wines with VOC Modré hory denomination.
In short, we fell in love with Velké Pavlovice. And we are looking forward to produce our wines in the newly built State-of-the-Art winery that is to be finished in late 2025.
