Premium Wines from Moravia
Arte Vini winery is located in southern Moravia in a small village called Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice close to the regional capital city of Znojmo. Our product range comprises dry white and red wines and semi-sweet white from the Pálava variety. Our wines descend from the Moravian winemaking tradition, wines giving pleasure every time you have the opportunity to enjoy them, particulary when combined with our rich and hearty cuisine. Pleasant fruitiness, elegance and freshness, high quality, modern design and packaging – those are the distinctions of our wines.
This is the reason why we mention „The Art Of Winemaking“ – as the vineyards are cultivated in the proper ecological way and we vinify our wines using the traditional, natural winemaking processes. In adition the labels on our wine bottles are easy-to-read, attractive and eye-catching.
When selecting the wine varieties we are focusing mainly on the old and traditional ones which are typical for Moravia, such as Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Blaufränkisch, Zweigeltrebe; we can see a great potential for a variety called Pálava which has been cultivated not so long ago. Of course, we also have in our portfolio internationally recognized varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks to the local climate and outstanding terroir, these varieties provide unique wines with typical regional Moravian character.
Our grapes come from the best and renowned vineyard sites of southern Moravia. The vineyards are cultivated exclusively to our conception – in organic and sustainable manner in order to secure natural diversity. Since the vineyards are properly cultivated and in natural balance, we can leave our grapes hanging on the vines for longer time. Our wines get their intense aromas and profoundly rich taste with fresh acidity in the autumn period characterized by warm days and cool nights.
Cellar & "Buschenschank"
Our vaulted cellar that is over 140 years old and dug into sandstone massif several meters under the surface offers a constant temperature and high humidity during the whole year. These conditions are perfect for slow maturation of our wines, both in stainless steel tanks as well as in barriques.
Right under an old wooden press from the nineteenth century, there is a cozy traditional wine bar where you can taste the local delicacies.
